About Your Host
Kyrra Kosar is a Vancouver-based artist and veteran Opus Art Supplies staff member specializing in multimedia, focusing on watercolour, gouache, and acrylic ink.
Kyrra’s artistic journey began as a child living in Northern Manitoba, surrounded by the numerous small lakes and exposed Precambrian rocks within the Boreal Forest. At age 18, Kyrra was selected as one of Northern Manitoba’s emerging artists and helped launch the Northern Visual Arts Centre (or NorVa). After that, she decided to move across the country to attend film school and continue on her creative journey working for Opus Art Supplies.
Known for using delicate detail, layered washes, and enthusiasm for textural variety and experimentation, Kyrra enjoys capturing the sweet moments hidden in everyday life's busyness.
